A Chicago native but was raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He began break dancing at the age of 14. After high school he attended the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Pecks school of the Arts receiving a BA in Dance. While in college Long Zhao created a duet on Roberto and his twin bother Edwin entitled "Zoom Out", which was selected to perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Shortly after graduation, Roberto began his professional career with MOMIX touring 3 years performing Lunar Sea, Best of Momix and helped with creating Botanica. He worked 6 years for Pilobolus touring and teaching extensively both nationally and internationally. While in Pilobolus Roberto helped create and tour "Shadowland" along with classic company repertory. He was Joey Puppet in Berlin with the German production of War Horse. Roberto made is Broadway debut with King Kong as Kong Puppeteer and ensemblist. Roberto was also a combat medic for eight years in the US Army Reserve.  He would like to thank all his friends and family for their love and support.
